General courses objectives:

Students will learn and analyze the main world views on the Contemporary Age as well as the intellectual approaches that originated them.

They will be able to identify the intellectual and social contexts in which each approach and its corresponding perspective emerged, emphasizing their ideas and political and social institutions. By doing so, they will learn the complex relationship of interdependence between these various elements and their historical aspects.

The participants will appreciate the characteristics of these different periods, their effect on the present and the perennial value of certain human concerns, allowing them to formulate substantiated and responsible opinions.
